On my way down to Portage Lake for some weekend snowkiting (kite sking)I stopped a few times whenever I saw something I thought would make a good picture.
I can’t tell you how many times I have stopped along Turnagain Arm to snap a photo of the mountains, the sun, the water the.. whatever.
View Towards The Top. This mountain ridge create the west wall edge of the valley where the tunnel to Whittier starts. For many years I’ve wanted to get up on top of them. I’ve been on the tops of the mountains on the Whittier side and hope this summer I’ll be able to get up there and look around.
I drove by this spot on Portage Creek four times before I finally pulled over and snapped a few photos. I need to work on composure though.
Not real happy with this but I’m glad I caught the holes before I started to get everything ready for launch. My Kahoona kite is starting to look like Frankenstein with all the holes, rips and tears in it. Maybe this winter I’ll look at getting another 13m kite. I’m sure I have a few flights in this one left, but it’s sure getting beat up.
