actually they were already here and left.
Prior to my departure and six year stint in the Aleutians I met Igor and Marina.
I met Igor years ago playing hockey.  He told me the story of traveling back and forth for supplies and stores.  He was always needing a place to stay as his friends were either busy or unavailable.  I seemed to have space and time, so I invited him to stay with me.

Igor and Marina were back in the United States via New York and Chicago. Back in the day they would come directly from Magadan and stay with me for a few weeks while they shopped for their stores. A few years ago Mavial Airlines went out if business and they started taking the long route to Anchorage.

Last week I had the couch surfers from France and back to back I hosted Igor and Marina. I hadn’t seen them I’m years and the visit was good. Great actually.  They are back on their way to Russia – a reverse route from Anchorage, to Chicago then to new York before heading to Moscow and then home to Magadan
