Well folks, it’s not all a bad day, I’ve been trekking for 11 days or so and I’ve finally made it to Grindelwald.
I had planned for roughly 22 days trekking but some sections were easier than others so I expect to finish the trek on the 18th.
On the other side I’ve been expecting to hear about a position with our public safety department for a while now but I’m starting to suspect that it won’t be offered to me. They were looking for a decently qualified person, not someone new and under experienced to the service.
I’m not too bummed out though, I’m still a volunteer and I’ll still be there when the tone goes out. Besides I’m in the heart of the Swiss Alps at The Mountain Hostel having a refreshing beverage under the north face of Eiger.
Tomorrow I’m off again, up and over to Lauterbrunner (or however you spell it) and will keep on trekking.
I called Karl & Marie (from Alpha Welding) they are in Prauge and after the trek I’m going to train over and visit them before it’s time to head back home.
I have a ton of images to share already, but your going to have to wait until I return home!
This picture is for my friend Sgt. Shockley! I’m not sure which is better, Eiger in the background or the beer in my hand.
