Errrrrrgh!

Trouble

My Space, My Problem...

I pride myself on always being nice and tidy.  I try to carry myself in such a way that I appear to be clean and concise.  Unless that is if I’m returning from an adventure or dealing with a bout of depression.  In this case, I’ve just returned from a week in Fairbanks and a few days in Seward.  Along with all my adventure gear and the ‘accessories’ for this summers fishing extravaganza (that means new fishing poles, reels, and lots of gadgets for the boat) I”m so wrapped up I’m now over whelmed with what to do. (which for the few of you who know me – doesn’t take a lot)

I went out for dinner and a glass (or five) of wine and this is what I returned to.

eeeergh…..  I need to get on the ball here and get my &$*# back together before I lose all control!

Ummm which has actually already happened.

I know it may not look like much to you, but this little bit of craziness drives me crazy.  I’m really more comfortable in a place that looks like a model show room, where everything is aligned perfectly, and well balanced and evenly spaced.  You know – like the show room bedroom sets at Bed Bath & Beyond and well, um… errr the welcoming ward of Bellevue Mental Health Clinic….

Is that OCD rearing it’s messy head, or should I say it’s organized head. Hey dude, I’m back from Haiti, talk about messy! I think sanity is so over rated. – later -z

Heh-heh… a fellow OCD sufferer. I knew I liked you for a good reason! :)

Breathe, Dan. You will have the mess whipped back into shape long before I can finish inventorying my (messy) med kit, cleaning the antifreeze off everything that was in my sled, and washing the endless loads of gear contaminated by the foul odor of 2-cycle engine exhaust. *grins*

Oh, and your commitment to detail, tidiness, perfection and efficiency is TOTALLY evident, awesome, appreciated and admired- in this half-crazed corner.

Having similar OCD traits myself, :>) and just moved in to a new place, the remaining unpacked boxes are slowly driving me mad also. However, I don’t think you are a candidate for any of these new Hoarder shows currently on TLC and A&E either. *LOL*

On another note, consider using the fishing rods and guitar as “wall art”. Buy a guitar wall hook and hang the guitar. Add some colorful lures on the rods and you can always change them out for a new “look”. {smile} They are easy to get to when you get ready to use them.

Okay..now I have to take my own advise and go home and clean up my own mess!
