Bonaire Diving Adventure

As most of you know it is taking me just shy of forever to get the photo galleries and albums back on line. I just finished adding the Bonaire pictures 
back to the gallery You can find them here and you can also find them under the adventures gallery int he menu bar at the top of the page. In August of 2008 a gorup of us local divers followed Reid and Sarah Brewer to Bonaire to celebrate their wedding and honey moon. It was a great time with great people and great diving.

The thing about themes and using wordpress is that the more complex you starting making the style sheets and image composition – the more difficult it becomes to maintain it when upgrading. (like I just did about an hour ago) It might take me a few hours to get all the images lined back up and to add the fancy widgets I had running in the site. – sorry.. but now you know why the site is looking funny.

Darrell & I In The Studio

Darrell and I will be hosting the KUCB annual fundraising morning show on our local radio station 89.7 We will be on from 0800 to 1000 ALASKA TIME. Last night I fired up my home studio to play around with some songs I’ve been trying to learn. Thinking that since KUCB is having live and pre-recorded musicians in over the last week to help support their fund raising efforts, if any of the songs recorded well they could use them.
I recorded (in my living room) acoustic versions of That Kind Of Girl by Mary Lou Lord, Wonder Wall by Oasis, Run Away by Del Shannon and a KUCB station ID using music from an original song I’m working on.

It seems to be taking me forever to update the photo galleries and albums. I think its taking me forever because I am not a good multi-tasker. So along with blogging, learning to kite board, diving, writing a book, performing at open mic nights, trying to record a music CD and keeping my dog happy – I seem to be over committed and under performing.
I have recently given up some long running, outstanding tasks that I lost interest in. That has lightened my load a little, there are a few more things out there I can give up – that will no doubt help also.

2009 KUCB 89.7 fm Sweat Shirt
KUCB’s annual radio fundraiser is happening now, October 19-23 and the folks over at Unalaska Community Broadcasting have been hard at work to fill in all the details for an exciting and fun-filled event. As they mentioned, they will concentrate their fundraising efforts on Friday, the 23rd, but will be bringing you live music in the studio Monday through Thursday. Here’s the lineup so far, but stay tuned for more additions as other musicians get scheduled. In some cases, Daniel will be pre-recording artists who can’t be present in the studio. If you miss any performances, they are planning to replay as many as we can on Friday.
On Friday from 8 to 10am ALASKA TIME – you can hear yours truly and Darrell Lee Walker do our annual fund raising morning show for the station. You can of course dial us up on 89.7fm if your a local or if your online – listen to us live via the internet.

Adding Complexeties

I’ve started adding ‘pages’ as sub menu items in the top navigation bar on the site. I changed some of the menu titles for easier navigation and less a less narcissistic presentation. IF you roll your mouse of the menu bar at the top, you will see the sub pages I’m talking about.
So along with adding images to the photo galleries – I will be adding content to the pages under ‘Projects’ and Adventures’.
Missing Photos

Well now that I have my albums and galleries sorted out, I should get down to adding the actual photos. For those who keep looking at the empty galleries – my apologies. I’ll be spending the next few evenings adding them back. I do not have anything new to add really, September was a slow month for taking pictures (with the exception of the Island Trek). I’ll try and make up for it this month.
