I have Audio

I’ve been using the wordpress CMS software on my own server for years. I’m all about integration and seamless operations. WordPress is by far the best in my opinion. I know most people use social networking sites to keep up with people and I think that is great. I prefer the have more control over the look and feel of my site – so I choose to remain somewhat of the rebel in that regard.
I’ve been looking for a long time for a while to add music to a post, mainly so that I can post songs that I record that I think people will like. IO thnk I found the code to do just that. This post should include Main Street by Bob Segar.

Hiking Around Ballyhoo
July 31, 2009
I’ve been busy this summer. Busier than I’d like to be. I’ve not hikied hardly at all and it shows. I’ve gained 10 pounds since my winter expedition in Sweden last February. I’ve been spending a lot of time working on the boat, hanging out with friends, and a few other things. Most notable though I think is that I finished up my PADI Rescue Diver course and have achieved the rank of Rescue Diver with PADI.
I did take a few hikes here and there, but not nearly as many as I’d of liked to. One of the last ones I did was hiking up and over (and the up and back over) Ballyhoo. I’ve just added some of the photos I took that day to the photo gallery.

I’ve waited and waited and waited and I’m still waiting. The container ship Horizon Tacoma pulled in a few hours ago and the containers are being off loaded now. In one of those containers is an engine. A engine that goes on the back of my boat.
The boat has been washed, both tanks filled with fuel, electronics installed, battery charged, fuel lines installed. I just need the engine now.
THe ship was late and the UniSea containers are in the back, or is it the bottom, or is it both? I’m not sure. Rumor on the street is that were not getting out containers until later tonight. -eeeeeergh. Oh well, whats a few hours or another day at this point. I’ve been restoring this boat since Septamber of last year. I think I can handle it.

Earlier this week my new boat motor shipped from Connecticut. After working on my project motor, I realized I didn’t have the tools or the knowledge to replace a piston. I chose Outboard Exchange, LLC. for two reasons. They have a great reputation and the have the motor that I’d grown partial to. I think in all I spent $5,400 for the motor and shipping. I’m hoping it will be here in time for August and September fishing.

In my IT days, coding pages was fun and exciting and I forced myself to learn all about HTML and the applications that assembled it. Now, I’m not really interested in learning code. I simply want to publish my thoughts and images in a format that looks good and presents well.
I host my website(s) using a company called BlueHost, I’m not one for being locked in to templates and terms of use like the social network sites offer. I guess I’m old school when it comes to websites and email. I like to configure my own web, mail and dns servers so that I know exactly how its going to work. I use WordPress as my CMS and the theme I use is a modified version of Dark Essence created by iThemes.
One draw back to being so far removed from coding html and php is that it now takes me hours, sometimes days to figure out a simple coding issue that should take about 20 minutes. All in all though, I did get it figured out and of course it all makes sense now. I suppose I’m still learning.
I hope you enjoy visiting

Since the great hard drive crash, I’ve had a slow difficult time trying to get any of those images back. I have taken a few since then and as you can see by the gallery, I’m slowly getting the ones I do have online.
Thanks for your patience.
