iPhone 3G v3.0

I pride myself as being an xHacker. I spent a lot of years and a lot of hours making and breaking the foundations of technologies we use today. I have the iPhone 3G, I’ver had it for almost a year. On my way back from vacation I bought the phone at an AT&T shop in Seattle. About three hours later in my hotel room I had it hacked and unlocked so that i could use it here with Alaska Wireless.
I left it as is.. as all good iPhone hackers know….. don’t upgrade just because Apple says so.
I am happy to report that I have upgraded the iPhone 3G 16GB to version 3.0 of the Apple iPhone firmware. I jailbroke it using redsn0w 0.72 (downloaded from the internet) and then unlocked it with ultrasn0w (installed via Cydia). I can use the phone on any GSM network. Such as Alaska Wireless here in Unalaska & Dutch Harbor.
